We had a surprisingly good time at the Leavenworth auction (14 new condo units on the block) in December 2008. This was our first experience at a real estate auction. The site was well prepared, pre-auction instructions were excellent, and the check-in process was easy. The only unit we were interested in turned out to be the first on the block. The auctioneer was thorough and efficient, coordinating not only the activity at our site, but also the bidding from the Seattle site. After winning the bid for our unit, my wife and I turned to each other with a look of astonishment. We now owned a condo! Just like that! Altogether a fast, easy, no-hassle auction.
